These things? Schools will have tables set up there, so you can go up and ask the representatives about the school and ask for a fee waiver in person. They might give you a code or just take down your name--I'm not sure how they do it since I've never gone to one. I registered for one once (it's free) and decided not to go. It was two years before I even applied so the fee waivers would have been useless anyway.Hapalawyer wrote:Extremely helpful, thanks! For anyone interested in GULC, I sent a fee waiver request email yesterday, and the admissions office responded that they will start accepting requests for merit-based fee waivers in mid-August.

Also, if you go to the forum and decide not to apply that year most schools are open to rolling over the waiver to the next year. You usually just have to send them an email saying you met them at XYZ LSAC forum and they are very receptive!Lavitz wrote:These things? I received the HLS email as well. Besides that, all quiet on the Western front.

Re: 2013-2014 Fee Waivers Rolling In
I took the LSAT early in feb 2013 to apply for this cycle, and I didn't register for CRS until mid July or so. I haven't received any fee waivers yet even though my numbers should be fairly competitive at most t-14 schools. I was wondering if this might have something to do with the fact that I took the LSAT early and didn't register for CRS until now? Is it possible that some schools might give me an unsolicited waiver, or should I start asking the schools I'm interested in for waivers? I'm also planning on submitting my apps in mid september so I wasn't sure if unsolicited fee waivers would even come in by then for most schools? Thanks!

I'm in the same boat as you. It all has to do with when schools look through the CRS. I didn't register in time for the big wave of fee waivers (though I've recently gotten a few others), so you just have to wait until they do another sweep. I don't know when they do that, though. I've heard on TLS that a lot of schools send them out at the beginning of September, so I'd just wait until you're closer to submission before worrying about contacting them.kosullivan23 wrote:I took the LSAT early in feb 2013 to apply for this cycle, and I didn't register for CRS until mid July or so. 173/3.96 for Vandy waiver
Just got an invite to an admissions chat with UVA/Penn/Harvard/NYU for 8/19. Guessing a bunch of people got that or maybe it was that darn Kaplan mock LSAT I signed up for that put me on the email list.

I'm in FL. It was an email inv to an online 2 hour admissions discussion on the 19th with UVA's, nyu's, HLS', and penn's admissions deans. Idk if region plays a role tho.
