Re: Deferred at Cornell (2012 EA Applicants)
ive been MIA from tls for awhile now since i have been debating if i should postpone law school plans. im holding out for cornell, as it is probably the only school i will attend that i have a chance of getting into. also got update on 1/16, 167 lsat fwiw. i think it might just be an administrative check to make sure they got some sort of LOCI and keep us on the list.
i read somewhere that we might not hear til april? is that the consensus? seems ridiculous.

Re: Deferred at Cornell (2012 EA Applicants)
also got an update today, as well as the mysterious december update.
sigh. i am just ready for this process to be over at this point so i can stop wildly speculating about things that probably don't mean anything.

Updated on 1/16 as well. I did not update in December though.
Did recently send in a loci so maybe that's what these are?

i haven't sent them anything except the e-mail immediately after my deferral asking to remain under consideration. So that could have been my earlier update but this one is a total mystery.thatjuanguy wrote:Updated on 1/16 as well. I did not update in December though.

Re: Deferred at Cornell (2012 EA Applicants)
has anyone received any concrete responses from them regarding admission decision dates?
feb 1st is the deadline to submit apps, so theyll know the total pool by then. do we receive priority treatment (at least in terms of finding out earlier)? i am cringing at the thought of having to wait until april, regardless of the outcome.

Admitted today! Re-took the LSAT in December, probably the reason for the early acceptance. I'll most likely be withdrawing, so there's more room for the rest of you. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations, and best of luck at the schools that you'd rather go to.ph5354a wrote:Admitted today! Re-took the LSAT in December, probably the reason for the early acceptance. I'll most likely be withdrawing, so there's more room for the rest of you. Good luck everyone!

Also accepted today via status checker!
Updated my UG transcript, but no retake or anything. Guess this means they're reconsidering people before February 1st. Best of luck to everyone!

Does anyone have any mention of scholarship money? Or does that come later? Or can we assume that they've used up their Dean's Scholarship invites? So many questions.

Re: Deferred at Cornell (2012 EA Applicants)
It looks like a lot of people today with 170+ and GPAs at least above the 3.3 floor are getting in after being deferred. Although I guess we were all scratching our heads about being deferred in the first place lol.

Btdubs dunno if this means anything but I also had both the Dec and Jan updates after my deferral before the acceptance.
