Brandeis should be changed to a 159 (first post shows 158). My LSDAS report shows that as the mean for 2007.

Re:
I think that is unbelievably impressive. Their mean is the 90th percentile of all LSAT takers. It shows that they really are selecting very bright people and/or motivated people. My UG's mean is 153, pathetic, but hardly surprising from what I saw of the work ethic there.tiefenbr wrote:I can't believe Yale and Harvard are only 165 and 166!

Actually, a 165 is 93.5% and a 166 is 95%.Dead Ringer wrote:I think that is unbelievably impressive. Their mean is the 90th percentile of all LSAT takers. Re: schools' mean LSAT
I was excited to have the mean LSAT at Yale, until I realized that these scores are brought down by UG URM's in the same way that law schools 25%'s are artificially low. dang.

People who have not yet taken a real LSAT should not be allowed to make a judgment on what is "low".vasiok wrote:Holy shit that's lowCyLaw wrote:U South Florida : 148![]()

Well, considering that my cold diagnostic was 10 pt's higher I think that is low.jsporter wrote: People who have not yet taken a real LSAT should not be allowed to make a judgment on what is "low".
Besides I used to work at USF

Was just surprised it was that low.

Re: schools' mean LSAT
so how exactly does the LSAC and law schools view these mean scores?
do they compare it to your individual score or something??

This is such an ignorant and racist statement.zonkadonk wrote:I was excited to have the mean LSAT at Yale, until I realized that these scores are brought down by UG URM's in the same way that law schools 25%'s are artificially low. dang.
Less than 10% of any Ivy's application pool is composed of URMs.
The valedictorian of Dartmouth got a 165 and they were certainly not a URM.
Stop assuming blacks and latinos drag everyones numbers down.

Re: schools' mean LSAT
sooo ... if i went to a school that has one of the top 5 highest mean LSAT's, and I did pretty well there in terms of UGPA, that's a good thing right?

If you have to ask an internet message board, it does make that accomplishment seem a lot less impressive.sher85 wrote:sooo ... if i went to a school that has one of the top 5 highest mean LSAT's, and I did pretty well there in terms of UGPA, that's a good thing right?

haha ... I guess I meant is it an advantage in the process (obv its a good thing, duh). Just because I know some schools are always worried about their rankings. I was wondering if say a 3.85 from a school with a much lower mean LSAT = 3.77 from a school with a really high mean LSAT. roughly.

Re: schools' mean LSAT
It depends on a lot. I think all the schools with 163+ get boosts for some schools, but not at all of themsher85 wrote:jsporter wrote:If you have to ask an internet message board, it does make that accomplishment seem a lot less impressive.sher85 wrote:sooo ... if i went to a school that has one of the top 5 highest mean LSAT's, and I did pretty well there in terms of UGPA, that's a good thing right?
