I'm actually at work now. I work as 2nd shift broker at a discount brokerage firm.

How many people actually decide against going based on debt aversion/job prospects? It seems like everyone is willing to pay, at a minimum, to go to whatever is the best school they could get into (excluding real TTTToilets like Cooley). For example, when I first started studying for the LSAT and was PTing in the low 160's, I thought paying sticker at a T40 was worth it.

Now, I probably wouldn't pay sticker anywhere outside the T10, but again, I think that's something I've convinced myself of because those are the best schools I could get into (better knowledge of the legal market has contributed to this perception too). If I had the numbers to be a lock at HCCN, I'd probably think MVP aren't worth sticker.

Just seems like this is applicable up and down the board. People with T2 numbers manage to convince themselves that TTT and TTTT aren't worth it, but schools they're capable of getting into is, etc.

Fact. Perception is everything from one's numbers to their degree of familiarity with either a local legal market or the national market. If one lives within a legal market that is accessed by T2, T3 students, they'll believe that its worth it. If not, they'll find that it isn't unless they have great numbers. The same applies vice versa.

Most definitely, but that person represent less than 5 % of all law students who graduate.
