what letter did you guys write when inquiring about fee waivers..?

This is a loose version of an email I sent asking for a fee waiver in response to an "informative" email about a school:

Dear Mr./Mrs. X:
Thank you for your informative email and invitation to learn more about X College of Law. First, I want to congratulate X on your X recent success! I am especially interested in X and am delighted to see that your school tops the rankings in that concentration area. I would very much appreciate any information you can give me on additional opportunities for students interested in X.

I have earned a X GPA and an LSAT score of X/Xth percentile. I hope that this makes me a competitive applicant for your school. I am however, concerned about the required $X application fee and wondered if you offer an application fee waiver for applicants who have been granted an LSAC fee waiver. My LSAC Account # is XXXXXX. I would be happy to provide documentation of my LSAC fee waiver for verification upon request.

I am adding a thread for those who already have LSAC Fee Waivers about which schools honor those in waving their application fees. In addition some schools (Loyola-CHI, and this year Illinois) will have no application fee at all. Just thought I'd let you know.

I have the same issue - 178/3.88 here. I was enrolled last cycle and got a bunch, but nothing this cycle yet. California School of Law is still making a press for Fall 2010 though...

I got some last cycle as well cuz I took the LSAT last cycle. Might be why you aren't getting any. Also, nice numbers, enjoy Harvard.

Ah, thanks, makes sense; I took the December 2009 exam and originally said I was applying for 2010 (if they asked, can't recall). I'll fiddle to see if I have to change my expected application date...

FYI - I asked an admissions person at a school I'm interested in about a fee waiver and was told if you have an LSAC fee waiver most schools automatically waive the application fee without even notifying you. She said you just go to checkout and the fee will be $0.

There is no Yale fee waiver.. Yale only gives out fee waivers for financial need-based reasons.

Another one I'm happy to get. William & Mary doesn't appear to yield protect, and I'd love a nice fat scholarship there.

Did you happen to get one from Georgetown? The W&M one is the first one I got, probably because I hadn't registered for CRS until they started coming out. I have a 169.

No, I didn't get one from Georgetown. I registered for the CRS late January.

hence when you read my post it does not say I got a fee waiver, it says that they send me an email with all their information then I sent back asking for an email and they stated they have a need based form....
why I originally got the email with the information on applying and fee-waiver...I don't know because I never signed up for it....and why yale is on the list even after I cleared it up on the board I dont know...

it was meant to be an aside not a verification.

Gonzaga and charlotte and an interesting e-mail from Yale, letting me know that if I request a fee waiver they will send me one as an attachment....huh

see....then when I requested one they send me a need-base form...
