Are you sure there's no fee waiver? Mine said I should apply for the Faculty Scholarship and it did have an "apply online and we'll waive your $60 fee!" but it was pretty buried. I had to read it a couple times to be sure it was there.

yea I re-read it... nothing, which is super odd given the email... I'm going to request one though.

Just found another hidden waiver at WashU. This hidden-fee-waiver-thing is like an easter egg hunt, except when you find the egg, there's $70-$100 inside. Where else have you guys found hidden T20 waivers?

The email I received mentioned the "Dean's Scholarship" and had no waiver, also.

Nice. I wonder if anyone is successful emailing them for waivers.

Michigan wrote back and said that they don't do e-mail fee waivers any more (not true?) and that if I qualify it will be a hidden waiver that I will see upon check-out.

Is this true? I didn't think Michigan was hidden.

Got a Penn viewbook via snail-mail today along with a fee waiver.

EDIT: I've had a hidden waiver since August. I guess this was just their way of making it official.

BURRRNNN... a NO from Notre Dame...kinda hurt since ND and Vandy were my top choices and didnt get one from either....EMAIL FROM NOTRE DAME:

Thank you for your interest in NDLS. We offer a limited number of fee waivers based on merit. It appears that you may be competitive for admission, but do may not qualify for a merit based waiver. Please review our website for fee waiver information. You may wish to request a need based fee waiver.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I contacted Michigan a couple days ago and they said that if I don't have a fee waiver by today that I should e-mail them back and they will send me one.

I got that little note FROM the head of admissions after meeting her at a law fair. Solid.

Even though my LSAT is lower than 99.9% of this people in the thread, any fee waiver love feels pretty good :-).

There is a good possibility that I will only have to pay for two applications. This alone has made my week. Thank god for TSL for I would not have known such a thing existed.

Just got Pepperdine and their ridiculous $135,000 "Note from Malibu."

Does everyone else's email say that if your LSAT is at or above the 86th percentile you qualify? Or is it because I'm at the 86th percentile that they put that in there?

Either way, their email looks like a postcard.

Although I am def applying to Vandy so I might have to dole out the $50 for that one. So I might have to pay for 3.

I have about 15 fee waivers now. Most are listed here so I won't get into that, but do you guys/gals apply to all schools that give you fee waivers? Most of my applications are tailored to each school. So I am wondering should I just do some generic ones for fee waiver schools?

I didn't. My PS was tailored to each school and it'd take me too long, and not to mention be a waste of $12/application, to apply to schools I'd never go to.

Mine doesn't say anything about percentiles. Did your email mention the "Faculty Scholar Award " as well?
