UCLA told me straight up that I do not qualify for a merit-based fee waiver (jerks), GW told me they don't give those out, and USC directed me to their need-based fee waiver application. Oh well, got fee waivers from Emory, W&M, and WUSTL (two days before they emailed me one through CRS...wasted effort).

Anyone have any luck getting solicited fee waivers from UCLA, GW, or USC?

Yeah, similar #s and I gave in and paid to apply. I'm sure that's what they want.

i think a lot of us up there don't seem to be getting columbia waivers.. 177/3.63 and none for me i don't see how that's not merit deserving.

They don't want to waste the money on someone who thinks of them as a safety.

I was offended by the Regent fee waiver not because it's a lesser school but because of its founder and message. Really, Pat Robertson, you can have it back. And guess where you can shove it.

I kinda feel bad sometimes bashing Regent and all these other T3- law schools. I mean, we all kind of treat it like a joke, right? But they actually think they're doing us a favor. Obviously someone goes to these law schools, but why would they send out emails to people with 160+ 3.0+ stats?

Alright, done feeling bad now. Regent just congratulated me on earning their fee waiver. STFU Regent, you're not doing me any favors...just cluttering my inbox.

TITCR. I've gotten plenty of waivers from T3/T4 schools that I felt no need to mock. Regent is asking for it with their combination of self-congratulatory tone and wacko fundamentalism.

Regent has a school of government named after Pat Robertson, they kicked a law student out because he posted a picture online that made it look like Pat Robertson was giving the camera the finger, their assessment scores are lower than any other law school's (except for Barry, with whom they're tied; and yes, they're even regarded lower than Cooley) in the country, and now that GWB is no longer President, they probably won't be able to find jobs.

So really, feel free to mock without shame.

Was this a hidden waiver or did they email you one? I have almost the exact same numbers and got nothing from ND, even after emailing them for one.

last year i had a 162 and a 3.9...both northwestern and UVA gave me waivers.

this year i have a 165 and a 3.9...neither UVA nor northwestern have given me waivers yet.

is this a sign that this year is going to be way more competitive than last?

this year i have a 165 and a 3.9...neither UVA nor northwestern have given me waivers yet.

is this a sign that this year is going to be way more competitive than last?

164 and a 3.85 = UVA waiver for me. None from NW, though.
