That is a severe decline in enrollment but of course it's just what California needs.

I am really encouraged by these enrollment declines. Perhaps LST's tracking of numbers is really making schools conscious of their placement of their grads into actual lawyer jobs. With a lot of these schools, it's just simple math: there's only one good job lying around in their placement region for every three law students they have traditionally been admitting. This is true of Wisconsin, even though they only have 2 law schools total. So Kudos to them.

We should be especially critical of any class size increases, as a corollary.

Just a heads up- the Northwestern median and 75th GPA is incorrect on the doc. Doc reads 3.73/3.85. NU reports 3.75/3.83.

Thank you for all the work that goes into the doc.

Great to see that UW keeps dropping its class sizes. I think the total number of students in the c/o 2017 almost equals the number of students from my class (2013) that had bar required full time permanent jobs. Furthermore, UW typically puts about 30 students into 101+ attorney firms. The decrease in class size will mean that closer to 20% of the class will be in 101+ firms as opposed to about 10%. The down sizing will really pay off for UW in the long run. Once the smaller classes graduate with high employment numbers that will only make the school more attractive to applicants with solid numbers and increase the school's ranking.

It also looks like they raised their 25% LSAT and raised GPAs across the board. This combined with Marquette's terrible median LSAT of 152 should also hopefully help UW grads in Wisconsin.

I got WUSTL's full spread:

162 166 167
3.19 3.62 3.75

+2 for the LSAT 25th

These numbers baffle me considering the class size. But the 166 baffled me too.
Well Scotti, you better kill it this year.

I'm impressed.
Definitely impressive hold. Although I'm just as impressed by Emory. Those job prospects do not warrant 165/3.75 medians.

With a 67% employment score? I should hope not

WUSTL did not get nearly enough criticism ITT for massively increasing class size when their employment stats sucked as it is.

Half of TLS seems to go there so it ducks a lot of criticism it rightfully deserves, like increasing class size 40% when two thirds of the class already has no prayer at Biglaw. Good for them for throwing $$$ around but it's still not a school anyone should attend without a full ride and a deadset focus on practicing in St. Louis.

I completely agree. It attracts great applicants but the truth is that unless class sizes are drastically reduced, 30 to 40 percent of its graduates will fail to find jobs.

WUSTL gives great money though, so way less trappy.
