Re: Columbia Applicants Waiting Thread
I just checked several past cycles on LSN, and it looks like 1/23 has been the earliest (reliable) date for many cycles now...
I guess the wait continues.

I hate to freak everyone out further, but it appears that he/she was also offered a Hamilton.
And, freak-out begins.

No, Columbia comes in the mail.
My numbers are pretty similar to that guy's. I'm going to be twitching for days.

RD does mail?
Is there a way to find out other than getting my physical mail?

The guy who posted is in Japan, so it's likely to made an exception and notified him by email.
This probably means they MAILED the decisions to the rest of us today.

Re: Columbia Applicants Waiting Thread
i hope this does mean they mailed a wave of decisions today. lsn would seem to suggest a large number of decisions are coming. i guess we'll know and a day or two.

I thought they e-mailed a scanned copy of the acceptance letter? or is that only ED...

Re: Columbia Applicants Waiting Thread
I think they're only emailing for overseas - I'm overseas and got the email as well, and they said it was a "scan" of the one they're sending in the mail, so I assume they figured it'd take much longer to send it to overseas people and save us the extra agony. Good luck everyone!!

whyamidoingthis wrote:Mallard says LSN indicates that that's only for ED. I'm a little surprised because ALLLLLL the RD acceptances last year are indicated on the same day. Don't most people use the date they received the letter? I would have thought dates would be more scattered if they did everything by snail mail.cameltaur wrote:mallard wrote:No, Columbia comes in the mail.

That's a good point. I was wondering the same thing.

Re: Columbia Applicants Waiting Thread
For me when I see "decision" I'm putting the date that my status checker changed to decision or the date that a decision was mailed, not the date that I receive it. I am surprised that ALL of the decisions for last year have the same date, though. Either an impressive logistical feat or a freak coincidence.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
