Well UVA's admissions office fucked up this cycle, so yeah, definitely possible.

also curious about this. i know they fucked up last cycle, admitting only like 36% women or some shit, but i haven't heard anything they messed up on in this cycle...

Yeah, I can actually see them taking a LSAT hit in order to get a more diverse class, which could be seen as "fucking up" from the outside.

that makes more sense. i know it was a priority to try and fix that.

I was deferred in June after asking for reconsideration. The Dean himself specifically said the class is overenrolled pretty badly. It seems most of the t14 after speaking to him overenrolled for whatever reason.

UVA should drop to 168 -- I suspect they were counting on this anyway and their targeted admission strategy made it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I suspect we are soon going to see a host of the 167 schools drop down the 166. Not all of them, but more of them.
Do you think the LSAT will soon become a much less significant factor in admissions, or will the inertia of the US News ranking system power through the slump?

Ehh I find that hard to believe but this is a great thread for baseless speculation so I'll go ahead and confirm Georgetown to 160

UCONN class size down significantly.

I believe someone told me recently their dean of admissions was let go, and if true, she had been there for a long time.

Berkeley increased its class size by 10% and fell to 166. That doesn't bode well for UCLA/USC, they probably took a ton from them.

Berkeley increased class size, and lost just 1 LSAT point. Will Berkeley fall out of T14?!? :P

Not if Georgetown doesn't, and I can't see two falling out in one year (let alone 2 schools doing well enough to move into those places).

Who would it even be though? UT definitely would be the first, they've been knocking on the door for a while now, but like someone above said, I can't imagine UCLA maintaining their medians if Boalt is taking more AND dropping to 166, and I just can't picture Vandy as a T14 (sorry Spivey :) ) I know y'all were probably half joking, but still interesting to think about.

Boalt going from 167 to 166 is not going to make them fall out of the T14 lol, there is much more to ranking than medians. UCLA and others have historically been ahead of cornell in medians

The T14 is an unshakeable institution. It's like a closed version of the EU where the reputation of the whole is tarnished by the behavior of the lesser states, except it has three Greeces (Georgetown, Michigan, and Berkeley).

Communicate now with those who not only know what a legal education is, but can offer you worthy advice and commentary as you complete the three most educational, yet challenging years of your law related post graduate life.

Rankings also don't make a T14. See, e.g. Texas in 2011.

BACK TO MEDIANS.

Do most schools tell students the incoming class profile during orientation? If so, how come it seems every year we are waiting until like October for some schools?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
