Hello!

My name is AdComm and I am the Director of Admissions at the University of Idaho College of Law. I see that you are scheduled to take the LSAT in June. The "big test" is an exciting and important step that will in large measure determine where you will attend law school. I am writing to tell you "Good Luck!" and to encourage you to take a few minutes from your rigorous study regimen to check out our electronic viewbook. With resident tuition under $16,000 and non-residents able to qualify for residency by their second year, you will have a hard time finding a better value than U–Idaho College of Law.

[Picture with caption: "Student in the middle of a wheat field"] I hope you consider applying to the U–Idaho, located where the handle meets the pan- in Idaho's panhandle. Moscow is a small welcoming community - a great place to study while enjoying the outdoors!

I hope you give serious consideration to U–Idaho College of Law when you decide where to apply to law school.

Wishing you the best of luck on June 10!

Also have a few from Vermont, also wishing me good luck on the LSAT. And I've got about 10 from Whittier Law School. I've never even heard of them. I had a bunch more, but I deleted them.

If by "legal calling" they mean "bankruptcy," then it's a pretty big step.

Well, I gotta give that person from CSOL credit for actually posting their bar passage deficit compared to the rest of North Carolina.

My goal is to be included in the % of students employed after 9 months as 1 of the students that is "not seeking employment." How do I do that? Get a rich spouse? Or will the school pay me not to look for a job?

Our Dear Concord Law that boasts of the benefits of "distance learning" as not having to relocate, commute, or change jobs, in reference to a degree useless outside of CA.
Dear BabyJT:

If you are looking for a challenging legal education without the demands of over-the-top tuition, commuting, or relocating, Concord Law School may be right for you. Established in 1998, Concord was the first law school in the United States to offer students a traditional law school education online.

We're proud of having a tough yet highly rewarding program. Those up to the challenge will find a curriculum carefully designed to allow our students to build the knowledge base inherent in a first-rate legal education, as well as a supportive environment.

Rigorous Education, Flexible Format
Our law school offers a flexible yet rigorous JD curriculum which takes full advantage of the Internet by replicating the classroom experience through live, synchronous classes and video lectures. This format provides you with a comprehensive and interactive experience. As a student, you will have access to your courses 24/7 to provide you with the opportunity to complete assignments, listen to lectures, and review archived classes and lectures largely on your schedule.

Professional Faculty, Superior Support
Concord's professors are experienced online teachers with real-world knowledge on legal subject matters. Many have taught at other law schools and draw on their experiences from the courtroom, corporate world, and public sector. The Concord curriculum also takes advantage of distinguished lecturers from across the country to provide prerecorded substantive law lectures. For example, New York University Professor Arthur Miller–who taught for many years at Harvard Law School—is a lecturer for our Civil Procedure course. The faculty also includes Law Advisors, themselves attorneys, who provide academic support while guiding students through the demands of law school.

Concord serves a working professional student population whose graduates use their law degrees to excel in current positions or expand their employment opportunities.*

More than 1,600 graduates have benefitted from a Concord Law School legal education. Graduates of the JD program will have met the legal education requirement of the Committee of Bar Examiners, State Bar of California, and may apply for admission to the State Bar of California.
But the fine print says:
Concord Law School is registered as a Distance Learning Law School with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California. Registration with the Committee permits Concord JD graduates, who meet the regulatory requirements, to apply for admission to the State Bar of California. Study at, or graduation from, this law school may not qualify a student to take the bar examination or satisfy the requirements for admission to practice in jurisdictions other than California

Concord Law School is part of Kaplan University.
Kaplan is based in FL. Is CA the only place that approves of online law schools? The only online law schools I've heard of (California and Concord) are only good for CA.

Of course their site has no statistical info only anecdotal. Some of their students are Ivy grads and 1 even believes Concord is "the only institution of higher learning in my experience that actively promotes learning, not competition."

Most importantly, Concord is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council, a nationally recognized accrediting agency...

 and that prestigious AZ institution doesn't offer a JD program, it's just a paralegal institute.

speaking of Taft, law schools shouldn't get to use the names of presidents. They should have to use shitty actor names like The Keanu Reeves School of Law, Brendan Fraser Law School, etc.

Probably still provides better job prospects than the California School of Law et al.
