Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
I called New York University today and they said that they do not offer merit based fee waivers.
What is the deal? When I submit my application will they apply the fee waiver?
Thanks!

Very good to hear. Is there an application on their site, or do you e-mail directly asking how to go about getting one?govorett wrote:Stanford does give out need-based and they will consider the LSAC fee waiver as evidence . I didn't get the LSAC waiver and still qualified.

If they don't admit you, I'm pretty sure you can't be held liable for rampaging through their admissions office.adammac17 wrote:so i got a phone call (voicemail) today from the admissions office at a school i just applied to (in the 30s) saying how happy they were to receive my application and that i was "on top of the pile"..................

Just got an email from William & Mary encouraging me to apply and saying that I was previously awarded a fee waiver. I went on LSAC to check and it still charged me the app fee. Anyone else get this?

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
I got a seemingly personal email encouraging me to apply last year. I even had 3-4 direct correspondences with the Admissions staff over email, again encouraging me to apply. I applied and was promptly waitlisted. It was a gigantic waste of my time. They waitlisted seemingly everyone that applied after that round of waivers. I know it was late in the cycle, but it looked like they sent out waivers to boost (lower) their acceptance rate.mst wrote:Got the same email, but I can't bring myself to check because I remembered I don't give a *37? about W&M, haha.scruffs mcguff wrote:Just got an email from William & Mary encouraging me to apply and saying that I was previously awarded a fee waiver. Yeah I had no intention of applying but the line about getting a fee waiver previously made me wonder. So now I still have no intention of applying.mst wrote:Got the same email, but I can't bring myself to check because I remembered I don't give a *37? about W&M, haha.scruffs mcguff wrote:Just got an email from William & Mary encouraging me to apply and saying that I was previously awarded a fee waiver. I'm still wondering how to check my fee waivers on LSAC. Is there a list of the ones that I have awaiting on there anywhere, or do you just have to go through the application process with each school to be able to see if you had a waiver or not?scruffs mcguff wrote:Just got an email from William & Mary encouraging me to apply and saying that I was previously awarded a fee waiver. You don't have to actually submit the application.TOMaHULK wrote:I'm still wondering how to check my fee waivers on LSAC. Me too. I also went back and checked, and they gave me a fee waiver last cycle (I didn't apply), but that was the first e-mail I got from them this cycle.scruffs mcguff wrote:Just got an email from William & Mary encouraging me to apply and saying that I was previously awarded a fee waiver. Yeah, I received a phone call several days ago from a school I applied to saying essentially the same thing...adammac17 wrote:so i got a phone call (voicemail) today from the admissions office at a school i just applied to (in the 30s) saying how happy they were to receive my application and that i was "on top of the pile"..................

Hidden waiver to Notre Dame!!!
I'm going through the apps that became available today at midnight to see which ones have fee waivers.
I'm especially hoping for USC and UC Davis

Notre Dame waiver here as well
Was kinda bummed after e-mailing them and getting the generic "we only waive fees through CRS" response...thought I just didn't qualify. But I guess it was actually true.

Does anyone know if UC Davis gave out any hidden waivers last cycle?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
