I have a 164 and I got a fee waiver from Emory.

Emory told me GPA of 3.5 or better, otherwise I can request a need based wavier ... which I will!

Yeah, they did the same to me. Unless you specifically request and show interest in the school, Duke only seems to give out PT invitations to 169-173 candidates.

JGG- I got a 169 and just got a Columbia waiver. Also just got UCLA. No word from Vandy. I would wait til the end of the day to give up hope from them, I bet you still get one.

Just got the UCLA waiver as well. I'm pretty excited as I'm thinking of applying ED there. Congrats on the Columbia waiver. Would love one of those!

when a waiver is hidden, do you see it only when you press the "submit" button on the LSAC site? Or, can we see it some other way??

Got Vandy over lunch .. LOVE getting those waivers from schools I had just accepted I was going to have to pay for. Unfortuntely I got no dice from Michigan, jerks!

I feel the same way. I was gonna pay for UCLA, but they gave me a waiver. I have resigned myself to paying for Michigan at this point. I'm still holding out hope for a Vandy waiver.

Has anyone solicited Chicago or NYU? Those are the last two major schools I'd like fee waivers for. Well, besides Berkeley but I heard they don't give out merit-based.

I tried. They both said no. Those were the only two schools I actually had to pay for.

Don't bother with NYU. I tried this morning and got a generic "NYU will approve LSAC fee waivers" response.

I wasn't saying they wouldn't or didn't give me a fee waiver.. I was talking purely about how they responded to my admissions question. I did not ask for a fee waiver.

UCLA and Columbia came minutes ago...seems on par with others here. Those, combined with UVA and Duke feel pretty good, but still waiting to hear from Northwestern, Cornell, Michigan, Georgetown, and others. I know Chicago and NYU don't typically offer unsolicited waivers, but anyone heard from the other 4? are they "hidden" perhaps?
