Not complaining, seriously, but is anyone updating the excel file? I just know that some schools have been posted here a few times...

That's literally complaining. Chill. Updating this shit takes a lot of time and people have lives.Huskies13! wrote:Not complaining, seriously, but is anyone updating the excel file? I just know that some schools have been posted here a few times...

It is not "literally complaining"...ASU was posted more than once, and more than 2 weeks ago but not updated. I don't think an update has been made in nearly 2 weeks--so am wondering whether people have just stopped...which is fine, i'll stop looking if that is what happened...if it is going to be updated, I'll keep coming back....

Disagree. If the worst you can say about it is that it's a waste of time, I don't see that as a good enough reason to tell someone not to follow their dream, provided that person has no pretense about doing anything more than doing shitlaw in Nashville. I'm against people ruining their lives by paying with debt they can't comprehend for job prospects they misunderstand; I'm not really against rolling the dice to improve their station in life if the worst it'll cost is a few years of savings.Moneytrees wrote:Stellina just because a school is better than another TTT doesn't mean it's necessarily a good option, even for people with low LSAT scores. If you score in the 140's on the LSAT, I really don't think you should be going to law school. It just doesn't make any sense for a variety of reasons. You view it as "it's only 30k", but in reality, it's time wasted for the majority of students going to Nashville, because only 60% or less pass the bar, and those that do pass it will struggle mightily to find a job.
So sure, I understand your argument that Nashville is not the worst offender out there, and that it serves a purpose for a tiny number of people. But shouldn't there be more of an emphasis on educating prospective that going to law school with an extremely low LSAT (we are talking bottom 25%, which is truly atrocious) is virtually always a bad idea? I get that realistically there will always be stubborn people who will want to go to law school no matter what, but shouldn't the goal be to inform and eventually steer some of these people away from law school?

True - there's a big difference in the level of risk between "a car payment for a car you'll never drive" versus "a mortgage on a house you'll never live in."Monochromatic Oeuvre wrote:

Nice find. No surprises there. I don't care that Cornell is in Ithaca, its medians should never dip below UCLA/Vandy/UT (as long as its employment numbers remain as strong as they are).
