I'd rather be out a few more bucks and not always have lingering questions of "what if?".

+1 on Drexel.
On an unrelated note, U Illinois sent me my status checker email. They say decisions are typically made 4-6 weeks after you submit your application. That's fast! I could have a decision before USC or Georgetown even accept applications, that's kind of cool.

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
From all the spam emails I've received, I've gathered the following regarding free applications for fall 2011 entering class:
The following schools have no fees (some of these schools will require electronic applications, but I'm assuming most people do those anyways):
Drexel
New York Law School
UC Irvine
U. Illinois Urbana-Champaign
George Mason
Washington & Lee
St. Thomas in Minneapolis
Cleveland State
University of Arkansas, Little Rock
Pacific McGeorge - (you have to fill out a survey on their website, which will email you a fee waiver)
If you're lucky enough to be in a city where there is an LSAC Forum you may consider attending just for the fee waivers. The following schools will waive your fees if you visit their booth (I was signed up for the Miami Forum and got a slew of these types of emails, didn't actually attend the forum though):
U Indiana, Indianapolis
Whittier
Loyola (Los Angeles)
Marquette
University of Utah
Western New England
Capital Univesrity in Columbus Ohio
Phoenix School of Law
I was successfull in obtaining fee waivers from the following schools by emailing them my LSAT & Gpa:
William and Mary
UVA
WUSTL
U Iowa
And then there are the other schools that send out fee waivers via CRS.
I'm sure I'm missing a bunch, but, like I said, this is what I've gathered from my spam mail
How does the old adage go? "One man's garbage is another man's treasure?" I love schools with no ap. fees and fee waivers.

I can add to vegenator's list as far as contacting schools:
The following schools I sent a generic email to and they sent me a waiver:
Pitt
Case
UVA
Wake Forest
Temple
Penn State
Villanova
I was denied a waiver by Notre Dame. George Washington never responded. Ohio State also never responded (I sent 2 emails within a month and a half of each other to OSU).
Hope this helps!

I have lower numbers, so I targetted lower ranked schools for waivers, but here is what I got from asking:
Pitt
Penn state
Ole miss
Miami
Stetson
Kentucky
Tulane
GA state
Wake Forest
UConn
LSU
still waiting on (2nd) response from CU and DU

I got... a... thing, from Baylor today.
It's not really a viewbook, exactly. It's... kind of... Baylor Law flashcards? Seriously, they couldn't bind these things into some sort of booklet? What am I going to do with six Baylor postcards?
Each day I look through my mail hoping for a Michigan viewbook, and each day I find nothing but shattered dreams

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone else is planning to apply to Fordham, and whether or not you are waiting to see if they dispatch fee waivers. Searches through TLS revealed that some people in past cycles did get fee waivers through CRS, but those who emailed requests were offered a separate need-based form.

I got this, too. Thanks, I guess, Penn State.Bildungsroman wrote: Also, I got a postcard from Penn State Law with their football schedule on it.
WTF is this? I especially like the way it has the phrase "We are... Penn State!" emblazoned over a picture of an unappealing building in a field.
They are Penn State, and evidently they have a football team. I'm sold. What kind of nitpicky applicant could possibly want more information than that?

I got one too without an LSAT score in. They clearly aren't particularly concerned with who applies, all are welcome!

What better criterion is there on which to pick a law school? None that I can think of.
