Re: 2011 US NEWS RANKINGS RELEASED!!!!!
I doubt it--UCLA is still 1 spot behind Georgetown, and UCD climbed to 23. Hastings stayed pat. At a glance, it looks more like the employment at graduation numbers hurt Berkeley (93%) relative to Michigan (95%) and Penn (96.5%). Boalt didn't lie as well about their employment stats I guess.esq wrote:Did Berkeley drop because CA's school system is going down the toilet, or what?

Does Texas going into the T14 mean anything??? Is that not a national school?

They've always been low to mid 30's. Last year was a fluke.bartleby wrote:FML. UGA drops to 35? Oh well, kinda expected it.

Interesting. So I wonder why Cal is dropping then?tea_drinker wrote:Davis goes up though.esq wrote:Did Berkeley drop because CA's school system is going down the toilet, or what?
Edit: "looks more like the employment at graduation numbers hurt Berkeley" - This makes more sense. And maybe stuff like this: "The school also offers unique survey courses, like Wine Law, and students can create their own electives, too." Wine Law, sounds awesome.

Its the same school it was yesterday. Whatever opinion you had then should be the same now. This doesn't "make it" a national school anymore so than it was before.AssumptionRequired wrote:Does Texas going into the T14 mean anything??? Is that not a national school?

Oh it means everything. It now officially becomes a coast to coast school. Law firms from cali to NY will now hire them, because they are t14, which means all firms want them.AssumptionRequired wrote:Does Texas going into the T14 mean anything??? Is that not a national school?

What it does mean is that T14 (which has had a good ~10 year run now) will be phased out in favor of T13, or if Texas is very lucky, T15.Nicholasnickynic wrote:Oh it means everything. This. Either t13 or t15. I'm leaning towards T13.flcath wrote:What it does mean is that T14 (which has had a good ~10 year run now) will be phased out in favor of T13, or if Texas is very lucky, T15.Nicholasnickynic wrote:Oh it means everything. Whether it means anything or not, we are going to be hearing about it from the UT folks for years to come.AssumptionRequired wrote:Does Texas going into the T14 mean anything??? Is that not a national school?

I mean we always talk about the T14, but want it that all had been in the top 10-14 consistently that made it important? I dont see how this changes anything. Though I do love to see UT benefit, I just dont see it making any difference.

Dude, all GULC had left was the "T14" designation. This is devastating for them.AssumptionRequired wrote:I mean we always talk about the T14, but want it that all had been in the top 10-14 consistently that made it important?
