I'm glad I opted for the iPod touch, then, instead of the phone. I really just wanted to avoid the $30/mo. required data plan if at all possible.Inygma wrote:The apps for iphone are great. Re: TLS improvements in 2010 - what would you like
What wold be really useful would be an "unofficial LSAC user guide" that talks a bit about the organizational structure of the place and that also has hard-to-find information like the time it usually really takes to process transcripts, how to fax LORs, the process for contesting your LSAT score, being written-up during the test, what happens with fee-waivers when you sign up for CRS, etc...

Now that I am rejected from UCLA, I don't like seeing it at the top of my list everytime I check my posts. Also, the bored forum game is always at the top and is getting annoying haha.

I know this might be a little silly, but I'd really like a new design. Theres such great advice here and it would be nice if the website reflected that.
New banner, maybe some solid, darker colors. Easier login.

Sorry if this was already mentioned earlier, but a login button or link right on the home page would be nice.

Additionally, we could stop treating Pithypike's epic LSAT prep post as if it were of equal value to the snarky comment I just made in another thread.
+1 been thinking both for a whileasfasdagdsfawe wrote:Sorry if this was already mentioned earlier, but a login button or link right on the home page would be nice.

Again, sorry if mentioned.
The messaging system seems slow... sometimes a message will sit in the outbox for a couple hours before being sent. Dont know if it is a site problem or not.
I like the idea of a +1 or -1 ranking system for posts, although I could see potential problems.
Please please please, fix TLS stats. It right now doesnt serve a helpful purpose when the graphs combine all the years. Also making it most functional so there is not so much scrolling when updating.

It sits in your outbox until the other person opens it up. Something could sit in your outbox for a year or it could sit in there for ten seconds, it has nothing to do with the speed of the messaging system.sckon wrote: The messaging system seems slow... sometimes a message will sit in the outbox for a couple hours before being sent. A gmail-style chat system, so that I don't have to hop between Gchat and TLS.

More hot chicks?
We'll probably need more Canadians though, since they follow us like lost cats.

A reputation system much like this one:
http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/news-c ... m-faq.html
That way, lurkers and newbs can get a clear sense of which members actually know their stuff, instead of relying purely on the number-of-posts stat.

I dislike this as well...mostly because there are very few of us who really know what we're talking about past what anyone can find online.

Plus, I'd create alts on different computers and boost my own ranking by voting for myself.YCrevolution wrote:+1Pearalegal wrote:Popularity contest!!Kohinoor wrote:I dislike this.Lyndon wrote:lurkers and newbs can get a clear sense of which members actually know their stuff, instead of relying purely on the number-of-posts stat.

I'd be the Cooley of TLS.

-1. I actually like the simple layout and color scheme. I wouldn't like the site changed in terms of that.ntzsch wrote:+1Pearalegal wrote:I know this might be a little silly, but I'd really like a new design. Theres such great advice here and it would be nice if the website reflected that.

this has been brought up by someone before, maybe in another thread, but the first time that I stumbled upon TLS, I was sure that I was about to get a virus and see the 1000-pop-ups screen.

I was actually quite pleased with myself as I posted that.

Here is the interview with the Dean of Admissions at Boston University:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/alissa-l ... rview.html
The interview with the Dean of Emory is almost complete and I will post here later tonight with a link to that as well.
Also an expanded profile of UCLA Law School and an interview with the Dean of Admissions at the University of Richmond will be added in a few days plus about 15 profiles for Tier 3 and Tier 4 law schools. Also hiring several TLS members as interns to help implement all of the great suggestions in this thread.
