Fee waiver rant:

I just want to say that the fact I have to include my parents' information on my Stanford fee-waiver request is complete crap, especially since I've not lived at home since 2007. Really frustrated by this.

If it's any consolation, I'd kill to be in your position right now.... I've gotten 5 out of the 11 I'm applying to, but none in the T14.

I'm still waiting on fee waivers from Chicago, Penn, NYU, and Vanderbilt. I checked the first three for hiddens today. Numbers are 174/4.0. I took the October test. Anyone else in similar circumstances? Anyone had any luck soliciting these schools?

Maybe CRS just hates me :( .

I am sad. I got more fee waivers last year with my old lsat score than I have with this score, and I have improved by 5 points!

So far I have: UPenn, UVA, NU, UCLA, Vandy, Minnesota, W+L, Cardozo

I DO NOT have: any other t-14, GW (which I paid for today), BU, BC (solicited it, and my request was rejected), William and Mary (?), Temple (????)

I have checked for hidden ones. I know fee waivers don't mean you are accepted by any means, but this is not encouraging.

Have you tried checking your spam folder? I know BU and GW just came over the last couple of days for me. W&M and Temple came a few days ago but maybe they do them in waves. I haven't gotten one from BC.

For those of you that got Georgetown fee waivers, did you take the October LSAT?

Also, if you don't mind sharing what were your numbers?

thanks!

I think the waiver love has died. Today, all I got was Toledo law which is third tier.

They denied me with a 3.5/170. A couple point too low, I guess.

I got my waiver denied by duke today. Not a surprise, my numbers aren't close (3.4/167), but they were good enough for UVA/Mich/Columbia, so I had to try.

It's cool though. I dislike the south anyway.

Actually, Columbia wasn't solicited. ::shrugg:: I don't know how that happened.

Michigan, however, was solicited, but my email wasn't just my applicant data, but all the reasons my softs should make me a good candidate. I'm not quite a nontraditional applicant, perhaps an "atypical" applicant.

ETA: I honestly think that the waivers I solicited (like Mich) were successful because my e-mails were so long the admissions clerk getting the e-mail just did the " TL:DR, heres your waiver"

Just got a fee waiver from Cornell in snail mail along with view book. Already submitted the application last week, but eligible for reimbursement :)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
