My career services advisor told me NYC is the second most grade selective market, after DC.
I'm not listening to her but like

Not sure where to find the hard data, but you could start by showing them this:fourtyacslaw wrote:This is random, but does anyone know how to get a hold of Belmont Law's 2014 numbers? I haven't seem them posted in this thread and the only thing I could find on the school's site is this misleading, self-published article that doesn't break down the numbers.
I ask because I'm trying to dissuade a close friend's sibling from attending Belmont over much better options. Having the numbers would be very helpful as my opinion alone hasn't done the trick.

Their first graduating class is '14. That alone should be enough to scare someone off, but yeah, no previous years available.Mack.Hambleton wrote: i mean the last few years should work too

tbh, I thought the FTLTBR number would be a good bit lower. Still bad though.MNbound wrote:JFO1833 wrote:Howard: See a few posts down.

You know things are bad when a 43% employment rate is a positive surprise.Winston1984 wrote:tbh, I thought the FTLTBR number would be a good bit lower. Still bad though.MNbound wrote:JFO1833 wrote:Howard: See a few posts down.

That actually isn't half bad for a school that just opened in an already tough legal market (Nashville specifically).JFO1833 wrote:

They really tortured us on that wait.JFO1833 wrote:fourtyacslaw wrote:This is random, but does anyone know how to get a hold of Belmont Law's 2014 numbers? I ask because I'm trying to dissuade a close friend's sibling from attending Belmont over much better options. Having the numbers would be very helpful as my opinion alone hasn't done the trick. You might be able to get it by asking admissions. That said, we can parse something from the numbers on the website:
1. 78/119 are in bar required positions. That represents 65.5%.
2. Over all law schools in 2013, 91.5% of bar required jobs were full time/long term. This brings us to 60%.
3. Over all law schools in 2013, 3.6% of those FTLTBR jobs were solos, removing those brings us to 57.9%.
That might be a decent guesstimate of where they will end up.
They posted it here: http://www.belmont.edu/law/pdf/Class201 ... atsABA.pdf
UNR: Belmont - BL+FC-4%, FTLTBR-61%, FTLTBR (w/o LSF)-61%
