Got UVA, Duke with PT, Richmond and South Carolina. How come I didn't Wake or Illinois like others have? Damn! Maybe it has to do with my regional preference or lack of since I didn't select any.

So...do people generally include regional preferences and areas of law you're interested in? I'm trying to figure out if narrowing those fields (I haven't selected any) would result in more fee waivers or less..doinmybest wrote:Got UVA, Duke with PT, Richmond and South Carolina. Has anybody had any luck requesting the schools pay your $12 LSAC fee?

I didn't even know this was an option. Sounds kind of ballsy IMO...I'd also like to see if someone has done this with success.

"Mr. Adcomm? You can have my answer now, if you like. My final offer is this: nothing. Not even the fee for the LSAC report, which I would appreciate if you would put up personally. " -Michael Corleone, applying for law school

Just got an e-mail from Michigan agreeing to pay the $12. I would recommend that everybody send out these requests. Wow, if I had only known.

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
I've been searching for this info as well. I haven't selected and and I'm assuming that tells schools I have no regional preference. I was just wondering if there were some schools that would only give fee waivers to people who have selected that particular school's region. I looked through this thread a bit and I haven't really found a conclusive answer. The thread is 55 pages maybe its here somewhere but good luck finding it.adora wrote:So...do people generally include regional preferences and areas of law you're interested in? Dear Add Comms:
In addition to waiving my application fee I'd also like you to pay the $12 LSAC fee. Also, in addition to granting me a full tuition scholarship I'd like you to pay me the $150,000+ in opportunity cost of me going to law school.
Sincerely,
Broke
In all seriousness, I understand the $12 dollars in lsac report fees can add up quickly if you're applying to a ton of schools, so more power to you if you can successfully get them to pay the fee.
