I'm wondering about this as well. I do not have an undergraduate GPA, but I have a 176 LSAT. I received a fee waiver from University of Virginia today, but have not heard from anywhere else. Do most schools require a GPA of some kind before issuing a fee waiver?acrossthelake wrote:Do you have to have a GPA on file for one?

It won't be in the system. Like mentioned above, you would likely have to email them (or they may give you the same fee waiver regardless)Legalite wrote:can you still apply next year and use the old waiver? Or is it just one use?

Most schools are very good about refunding your money if they send a waiver after you've already applied.Lady Heather wrote:You will not get your money back. Any school's website will tell you not to apply if you want to use a fee waiver.dakatz wrote:Ok, now this is a bit weird. So I applied to a bunch of schools on Saturday before any CRS-based waivers became available for me, and I paid all the fees. But now I'm on the Duke status checker and it says at the bottom that my amount due is 0 and my amount paid is 0, which seems to imply that the fee is waived for me, yet I know I charged it to my credit card all of 2 days ago. Guess I'd better call up Duke tomorrow to find out how I get the money back if the fee is waived?

I requested waivers from both. Minnesota replied that they had already sent me a waiver by e-mail yesterday but I never got that. Anyway I should have one there now. Wisconsin told me they do not give merit based waivers. Got Iowa and Richmond e-mails today after Baylor and Cincy yesterday.

Re: 2009-2010 Fee Waiver Tracker Thread
Some fee waivers come with codes to enter during the checkout/paying process. For the schools that sent me fee waiver emails that didn't come with the codes, even when I add them to my active applications list, they still show the full amount.
Does anyone know why this is?
