WOOOO!!! Last day today!!! I have been at this job for 2 and a half years and it got me through undergrad. Bittersweet but I am excited for the next 3 years.

Both. It was the end of a project I was working on and I wasn't gonna get a new project because I was leaving. I did want to squeeze another week out of it, but my heart wasn't in it. Finally time to read Getting to Maybe

I really wish I could be joining you guys, but I have a whole year left...I deferred a year to save money. I'm actually a little bit upset that I don't get to start law school this year. Good thing I'll have a nice break between my last two-year non-stop test taking phrase and the next three year of hell.

I left my job this morning on great terms. They heard that I might be back in the islands for Labor Day weekend and agreed to hold my position for me. Actually I think my wife will be back in Hawaii. I'll be at UCLA Law library. I am glad to have left on good terms but otherwise leaving was just like any other morning. I got in my car and left. Somehow I thought it would be sad or happy or something. Basically I was just tired. I fly to LA in the morning.

My employer doesn't know that I'm leaving.

In my homestate (Missouri), you can apply for character and fitness early, which I did. My employer actually got an email asking them to complete the survey. They called me - extremely confused - because the email said I was applying to become a licensed attorney. Somehow, they didn't figured out that I'm going to law school. I can't tell if they're playing dumb or if they're not very bright... probably the latter. Either way, they'll know this afternoon!

So after quitting work on Thursday, packing and moving on Friday/Saturday, this is more like my first day of vacation before law school.

To those of you still grinding... it's sweet. If you have the funds, quit tomorrow. Just don't even go in.
