I get the sense that each school has a day when they send them. I got NYU last week. Might wanna holla at them.Marshmallow wrote:Waiting on Cornell and NYU. Do they come in batches after the October LSAT? If I haven't gotten them yet, is it time to just ask?neprep wrote:Hmmm, I wonder how the decide then.outlawscr10 wrote:Can't be, I'm below.neprep wrote:Just got Penn too.
Do you all think the criterion was just LSAT > 2016 median?
Also still waiting on Cornell…

Some schools send you emails letting you know they gave you a hidden waiver, but otherwise, nope.bee wrote:probably a dumb q, but i cant access lsac at the moment to check for myself--is there a quick way to check for hidden waivers?

Got an "invitation to apply for a need-based fee waiver" from Yale as a part of their dandy packet. Does that count?

Chicago sent me an invitation to apply via e-mail, but nothing mentioning a waiver. That's a first.

This was U of Chicago and not John Marshall Law School? I got a similar email that had Chicago in the title, but it turned out being from JM.Brettanomyces wrote:Chicago sent me an invitation to apply via e-mail, but nothing mentioning a waiver. That's a first.

Anyone know if there is a cap on how many waivers schools send? I guess it's school by school.
Also, is there research on the percentage of admissions for those who received waivers? I feel that this question about waivers can be resolved relatively quickly if the appropriate research was done.

Sorry -- broken record I know. But I think it's credited that schools send out not just to YP, but also to boost their selectivity numbers by boosting their denials (and therefore their USNWR score).
