I got the Columbia letter, too. Wow, they really go out of their way to qualify it.

I think the 170 cut-off (for non-URM) theory for Columbia is holding water. I'm a 169 /3.83 non URM and got no Columbia waiver. I did get a hidden UCLA waiver today, and also received the Indiana waiver.

Columbia fee waiver by e-mail. I think you automatically get one as long as you are above one of their 75ths and a pulse.

I think it is only the LSAT score that matters. My GPA is above their 75th, and no waiver. So sad, as I fork over the $80 fee...Columbia fee waiver by e-mail. I think you automatically get one as long as you are above one of their 75ths and a pulse.

It is definitely only LSAT score, as the email was kind enough to remind me of that several times.

I'd be willing to trade my Columbia waiver for a Duke PT or best offer.

Did anyone else's Columbia email have this line?:
"Once again, we wish to emphasize that your LSAT score is the only thing that makes you remotely attractive as an applicant to Columbia Law. We understand that you likely have no other redeeming qualities, but we would like you to apply so that we can reject you for the purposes of lowering the percentage of applicants that we accept. You suck, but you did pretty well on the LSAT."

Their email also said things about my mother that I'd rather not post on an internet forum...

So, can someone post the entire e-mail that people are paraphrasing?
