+1,000 for UVA. I've spoken with 3 different people in the office, and they're the nicest folks. I've never waited more than 2-3 hours for an email response to a question, even now, right in the middle of heavy decision season. Cordel Faulk is especially helpful and kind.
UVA gets a lot of hate on the boards for their random process, but I'm in love with their office.

+1 for Minnesota. I sent my app in Friday night when the LSAT came back and by the opening of business Monday I was complete, Tuesday in review. They also respond to e-mails within the hour.
+1 for Berkeley. They were helpful when I applied for a fee waiver (which I got in less time than they said it would take) and my application complete/in review turnaround was wicked fast.
-1 for BU, for all the same raesons everyone else has mentioned. I might mail a dead fish to get their attention, lest I hear back from UMN (I'm ED) before I'm even in review in Beantown.

Big ups to Harvard today - although I wasn't the direct beneficiary of their extra effort, it appears that multiple people got their JR2 calls after the end of regular business hours. At least a handful of people are sleeping a lot better tonight because JR didn't leave them hanging until the next day. My hat's off to you, sir.

UC Boulder has been exceptionally nice to me over several emails and phone calls, as has UConn.

Cornell all the way. Every time I have called or emailed, they have been more than willing to answer any questions or help me in preparing my application. I visited last year and saw how friendly the admissions office is in person. There was an applicant there with her overly involved parents (they did more talking than she did!), and the person in the admissions office was genuinely enjoying the whole exchange.

Re: Admissions Office Shout-Outs
Although it may not have too many applicants from the TLS crowd, I have to say some good things about Missouri's admissions office. I sent my application out Wednesday at midnight, received an e-mail requesting a few more materials in the morning, sent them the materials during my lunch break, and went complete around 3 in the afternoon. Also, the e-mails I received were very polite and concise.
Keep on doin' what you're doin' Missouri!

-1 for UNC. No problems this year (yet), but I applied last year and called the admissions office after not hearing ANYTHING for nearly 5 months (no received or complete emails/letters, nothing). They hung up on me the first time I called. The lady who answered said she needed to transfer me to someone else and I immediately heard a *click*. I called back immediately, said what had happened and received no apology. And they were fairly standoffish during both calls. Oh, and they also couldn't even answer my question

Re: Admissions Office Shout-Outs
as OP said, MSU is extremely efficient and nice to deal with. They answered my email within 15 minutes one time! That is a school that is on the rise, for sure.
Aslo, PSU is really fast at responding, and Colorado and BU, as stated by previous posters, have been very nice and helpful!

Dean Hoye at Duke Law-Always been extremely prompt, courteous, and professional in all of my communications with him, especially after I got put on PR.
Admissions Staff at Cornell- Always been nice, calm, cool, collected. You'd think dozens of neurotic applicants calling multiple times every day would eventually get to you, but not these people...
Michigan-Dean Zearfoss, especially, but the other Admissions Directors as well have all been extremely nice, prompt, and genuinely sound like they are glad to hear from you and want you to succeed.

Big ups to Georgetown. They reply promptly to e-mails, and everyone I've talked to in the admissions office has been nice.

+'s for Yale and Duke. I got a hug from Dean Hoye when he visited my UG -- that was awesome.
Also, +'s for Michigan and Harvard. Even with the respective "sorry for keeping you waiting" and hold e-mails, they have been very nice and quick when responding to e-mails.
No -'s yet.

UCLA: I've only called once or twice, but the office people are always efficient and cheery sounding . . . Dean Schwartz is a helluva guy, doesn't talk down to people at all . . . wish I could have a beer with him

+1 for Stanford for being very helpful in their summary of how to submit Form B at this late stage to make sure they got a copy before the deadline. Also +1 to Columbia for being exceptionally prompt in getting back to me about a change in my application and also in confirming their receipt of my application. And Dean Iwerebon was very helpful months ago when she visited my UG.

-1 for IU Bloomington... I called the admissions office with a question about the application and the woman on the phone cut me off two different times and was just rude overall.

+1 Tennessee (Ms. Britton is the best)
+1 Ole Miss (Ms. Vinson is very nice and gave me a great tour of their facility)
+1 Marquette (always get someone pleasant when I call)
-1 Kentucky (just awful to deal with)
-1 Louisville (difficult to get ahold of, seem unpleasant on the phone)
