What is going on with EDers?
Have most ED people heard back yet? It's two weeks past December and nothing has changed on LSN.
I wonder if they are getting flooded with apps this cycle.

I think it's sometime in March or April, but they don't send the EDers our info until February at the earliest....I wish we knew, I have to book a flight from the west coastcakewalker wrote:Anyone have a clue as to when Columbia's ASW is?

Regular decisions will come week after next based on previous cycles, right?

+1, hourumd puts me at 39%... here's to hoping!amyLAchemist wrote:I am feeling false hope most likely, because I got accepted to UPenn with a 43% chance....as hourumd puts me at 37% change at CLS. Not too much less! Here's to false hope!

LSN shows RD acceptances starting around 1/23-1/24. So they should come next week, not week after next.

I really really hope they are at least going to be in January. Don't think I can survive the wait much longer than that.

I know, I'm dying here.
This wait can be equated to this scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f92wbyLptR0
only replace "Ron Burgundy" with "CLS".

My Columbia status checker says "pending completion." How long it generally take you all to go complete?

My hope is next Friday 1/23 or Monday 1/26 after next (I think that, judging from last cycles, letters did not come out on 23rd only when 23rd fell on a weekend).Dr_Nex wrote:LSN shows RD acceptances starting around 1/23-1/24. So they should come next week, not week after next.

I suppose I should join this thread.
3.30/171. Its the best school that gave me a fee waiver and I want a $12 rejection letter from an impressive law school for posterity's sake. Keep me humble/motivated.

I second gannak in saying that Amy, you will surely get in (however late it may be).
Also, to the previous posts regarding cost of living, I am considering living in the UES and commuting the NYU...it's not too expensive there and apparently if you live near any of the ABCDEFV, you can do door-to-door in 20 mins (haha, thanks to the wonderful advice from the "NYU Students: Where do you live?" thread). I'm sure if you hate the area around Columbia, you can find a similar commute from a different area. Basically, this location/cost thing should not factor into your ultimate decision if it's between these 2 schools.

As for the location thing, I feel like it still makes a difference for me, as we would probably live roughly in the same place regardless of whether I go to NYU or Columbia. I am planning to test out these train routes when I go to NY in March. Maybe it doesn't make as much difference as I anticipate....and maybe I'll know something from CLS by then.
Here's to hearing next week!!
not sure what you mean by trains - are you planning on living outside of nyc in a suburb? if so - if you plan on living in westchester you'll have to get off at 125th and then get crosstown to columbia. its kind of annoying but doable.

Checking in... Numbers twin with Amy, but I don't have a PhD... only a lowly Master's in Math, applying to a JD/PhD program... here's to hoping that one helps the other

Does anyone know the date by which you are guaranteed a decision? I'd also like to know for NYU. Thanks.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
