Just the admissions link on the general pages?

Is it tacky to start soliciting waivers based on my brand-spanking-new October score?
Am I supposed to wait a few days before shooting out emails?

Also interested in this. Aiming to have most apps submitted by this time next week. I guess it's probably best to go ahead and solicit rather than sit back and wait.ltbenn wrote:Is it tacky to start soliciting waivers based on my brand-spanking-new October score?

If you successfully solicit a fee waiver, should you reply back to say thank you? I just don't want to seem rude by not responding

I always did. It wasn't too long. Just something the lines of "thank you".slizerd wrote:If you successfully solicit a fee waiver, should you reply back to say thank you? I just don't want to seem rude by not responding
I sent fee waivers months after my June score because that's when I was applying. I don't think it's tacky at all. The worst they will ever say is "no". It's not going to get yo denied because you were over-eager in applying.EnderWiggin wrote:Also interested in this. Aiming to have most apps submitted by this time next week. I didn't, just because I assume they have so many of the same emails, and a "thank you" would just waster their time and clog their inbox. Hopefully my silence isn't seen as rude.slizerd wrote:If you successfully solicit a fee waiver, should you reply back to say thank you? I just don't want to seem rude by not responding

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
If I was in charge of reading the emails at a law school, I would prefer that people didn't reply back to them. You're right, it does seem like a waste of their time. I'm totally contradicting this, though, by deciding to write a quick "thank you, I am excited to finish applying" just to play it extra safe.nondescript wrote:I didn't, just because I assume they have so many of the same emails, and a "thank you" would just waster their time and clog their inbox. Normally I'd say give it a few days, but its in your interest to get your apps in before Halloween, so I'd just go ahead and ask for that reason. As said prior, worst they can say is no.ltbenn wrote:Is it tacky to start soliciting waivers based on my brand-spanking-new October score?

I went for it on Friday evening EST... NYU already answered on Saturday ("we use LSAC CRS..."), still waiting on GULC, Penn, GW and UVA - if I don't hear back by this weekend I'll probably submit anyway (GWU might get cut off the list...)Troianii wrote:Normally I'd say give it a few days, but its in your interest to get your apps in before Halloween, so I'd just go ahead and ask for that reason. GWU - Successfully solicited, promptly submitted.
NYU - "We use CRS". I'll give them until my grad school transcripts are finally processed by LSAC, if I haven't gotten one I'll bite the bullet.
Penn - See NYU.
Georgetown - Flat-out denied. Burn. Whined about it for a minute, submitted anyway.
...Still waiting on Cornell

I solicited one from Michigan - I wonder what was different? I got the CRS response from Vandy thoughgamerish wrote:People were able to solicit from Michigan? I got the "we only do waivers through CRS" response when I tried to solicit one.

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
I haven't gotten any response at all from Cornell yet. I'm guessing the Michigan thing just has to do with who's working admissions at the time? I'm assuming their generic JD admissions email is monitored by more than one person; maybe one is just nicer =/gamerish wrote:I just got Cornell's "we use CRS."ltbenn wrote:GWU - Successfully solicited, promptly submitted.

Well that makes me kinda worried. They did say in their response that I would most likely qualify for one but they just use CRS.slizerd wrote:I solicited one from Michigan - I wonder what was different? I hope they just don't hate me.
I'm sure if I qualified for one, you'll definitely get one soon.

Re: 2015-2016 Fee Waivers
Just got a CRM response from Cornell. Theirs was really rude, not even a "thanks for your interest". It literally just said " see this link". UVA is ranked higher and is nicer, I know who's getting my money

For any of you pining for a Columbia waiver, last year they gave some on Tuesday, Oct. 28th. Score release for the September 2014 LSAT had come 8 calendar days earlier on Monday, October 20th.

Had a similar result/feeling about them when I asked for one. However, I got a hidden fee waiver later on, so it might be worth it to check in the coming weeks if you have hidden fee waiverslizerd wrote:Just got a CRM response from Cornell. How long does it take for Northwestern to email back once the fee waiver form has been submitted?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
