Yeah, same. Solicited CCN + UT right after getting the score, with numbers over all their 75th percentiles, and they all gave me form letters that basically said wait for CRS. Did I do something wrong? Or are they being genuine about only giving them through CRS?croser wrote:right after i got my lsat score yesterday i sent thirteen schools requests for fee waivers following the template. only two said okay. did i do it wrong--should i have waited for the october lsat wave?? when do october lsat people get waves anyway???

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
I've got all the T14 waivers minus HYS, NYU, Mich, and Boalt. Just sent emails soliciting though.
Anyone get any luck soliciting NYU? They sent me an email saying they don't give merit based waivers. Womp.

I'm a 3.25 179 and both Cornell and Vandy said CRS only, which is funny considering Michigan gave me one immediately.
Edit: Just got a solicited one from UVA as well.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
Do T14 schools ever send unsolicited waivers to those with a sub-170 LSAT score? Because everybody I've seen so far here getting T14 waivers seems to have a 170 or above. Due to my numbers (168, 3.95) I'm going to have to apply to a lot of schools and see which ones will accept little ole reverse splitting me. But there's no way I can afford to do so without waivers, and a lot of the T14 don't seem to look too kindly on soliciting them.

I have a 168 and my GPA is above average (no numbers - international app). Virginia just sent me one yesterday!JustSomebody wrote:Do T14 schools ever send unsolicited waivers to those with a sub-170 LSAT score? As far as UT goes, I solicited on Monday night and they said the same to me, but I got a fee waiver through CRS in my e-mail this morning.

Also got one from William and Mary this morning.

We have almost identical numbers...hoping this isn't just W&M trying to be able to say they denied more people...
but it probably is. Haha.

Re: 2011-12 Cycle Fee Waiver Tracking
After e-mailing most of the t14...
Columbia, Chicago, NYU, Penn, and Northwestern told me to chill and wait for CRS.
Berkeley and Stanford told me they don't offer merit-based waivers.
This morning, I got waivers from WUSTL (solicited), W&M (unsolicited), Texas (unsolicited), Michigan (solicited), and Georgetown (solicited).

Maybe this was answered somewhere (so, sorry), and I'm sure the answer is "no" (sorry again), but do unsolicited waivers really mean anything?

Should I bother asking any of CCN or Cornell?
