This may be a dumb question but I've been looking around and haven't found a solid answer. When schools are using CRS to send out merit waivers are they using just your LSAT score or also your GPA?

I'm 3.63/175 and figured GPA was the reason I haven't received one from Chicago but just wanted to see if that is indeed the case.

Anyone from the October LSAT getting UPenn waivers? I solicited for one, and they responded saying they only use CRS. I'm not sure if I should hold out for one or just go ahead and submit.

No Cornell for me yet. (3.6/173) I emailed them last week and they said they only do CRS and to expect it to take 1-2 weeks post-score release.

Yup I got a UPenn waiver last week, hidden of course. 3.67, 172

Alabama: fee waiver + $30 iTunes gift certificate if I apply.

This would be useful if I ever bought things on iTunes.

think again. those motherless people denied my solicitation attempts and wouldn't give me a fee waiver even though everyone else did. they kindly sent me an email to apply tho : /

Huh? Even with an LSAC waiver, don't you only get 5 or so free CAS reports? I guess if you have 4 or fewer real applications you want to submit then you could cop a nice $30 by applying to Alabama, but if you aren't applying to at least 5 schools you're probably doing it wrong....

Just received a fee waiver from Columbia. From their email: "On the basis of your performance on the LSAT only, you have been identified as a prospective law school applicant who, on that criterion alone, has demonstrated a capability to contribute to and benefit from a legal education of the first order."

Of course, my LSAT score is below their 25 percentile, but my GPA is at their 75 percentile. Now I'm curious about your question, too.
