For the class entering in 2013, the median LSAT score was 170 and median GPA was 3.90, although we have a wide range of LSAT scores and GPAs in our class. Please see our 2013-2014 Profile Card for more details."

Doubt it. The problem is getting first-time takers; how many people take 3 or more times? A relatively insignificant number in the scheme of 100,000 LSATs, I imagine.

Dang...then by my calculations there were 32,868 LSAT's adminstered in Oct (if it decreased by exactly 13%) and 56,865 this year. That means, if there were no decrease in this cycle's Dec and Feb administrations (which it looks like there will be) we are on track for only 106K LSAT's administered this year.

Extrapolated out that means there will only be ~2755 170+ LSAT scores this year and only ~1049 173's or better (99th percentile).

Splitter value going up?

It's actually even better than that. These are the actual applicant numbers for last cycle: http://spiveyconsulting.com/blog/aba-ap ... 213-cycle/

There were only 2,529 applicants with 170+ last year and 534 with 175+.

Plus, that part of the applicant pool continued its trend of decreasing faster than the overall numbers. If everything continues and 170+'s decrease by like 15%... that's 2,150 with 170+ and 450 with 175+. So, so golden.

That is indeed golden. It it were true that there will only be 450 with 175+ and H and Y keep their 75th percentiles then they will take at least 200 of them between them. That is 200 of them will attend, they could very well offer addmission to as many as 300 of them.

Not surprising, they have a max of 25k a year for scholarships (although theres are exceptions). But some of the schools in their range/higher ranked we're throwing out money like candy.

WHERE IS WUSTL'S NUMBERS?

Wow. No wonder I got in last cycle. And I thought it was because of my awesome personal statement.

Well, it would make them the highest-ranked school so far to have a two-point median drop, and it would also put their median unusually closer to their 25th percentile than their 75th.

I know I'm just some chump but given the success my 169 had at Duke/NU/UVA and failure at Penn/NYU I'm going to say Penn/NYU did not drop to 169.

If I was a dean at a T-14, I would drop tuition by about $10K. This would help immensely with maintaining medians.

I would of reduced the class sizes resulting in increased medians, during 2000-2007

Doesn't being more generous with scholarship money achieve the same effect, without the possible stigma of being perceived as desperate, or as a "bargain basement" law school?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
