I feel like WUSTL doesn't actually care about scores you get. Somehow, I think they send it to everyone.ilikebaseball wrote:me as welllaws23180 wrote:Took december lsat; received WUSTL email & waiver about 20 mins ago.
That being said, I too just received one and took the december LSAT. not complaining haha

exactly. but in all honesty, the fee waivers are largely irrelevant to your chances anyway--a "fee waiver" really is nothing more than what it sounds like: a fee waiver. so from that perspective, who really cares why/how they decide to send them!
also, i've noticed people saying that they received fee waivers through CRS-- where exactly can these be found?

It means the school finds you through the parameters they set when they use the CRS. They will email you.laws23180 wrote:cavalier2015 wrote:I feel like WUSTL doesn't actually care about scores you get. a lot of them send them so you'll apply and make their numbers look better when they reject you... but i dont think that was the case for me lol
edit: i hate sounding arrogant. I HOPE that wasnt the case for me.

i'm above 75th LSAT for all waivers i've received so far...GPA has ranged anywhere from below 25th to around 50th.

also, i found a bunch of "hidden waivers" through LSAC, which was cool. but on the flip-side, does this mean that the schools that don't show a hidden waiver will not be emailing me?

i wouldnt bank on a specific target school emailing you. There's sooo many law schools. If you have a specific school you wanna apply too, and wanna apply soon, press the issue and send them your stats in an email. From personal experience, if you're even close to their medians most are more than willing to give it to you.laws23180 wrote:also, i found a bunch of "hidden waivers" through LSAC, which was cool. but on the flip-side, does this mean that the schools that don't show a hidden waiver will not be emailing me?

I thought Penn was one of the schools that doesn't give out waivers in response to solicitations? From what I've heard, U Penn mass hands them out. I was actually told that they were literally one of the schools that handed them out to applicants just to make their numbers look better. Penn was mentioned specifically as a school that did so. However, I cannot attest to how they react to solicitationleslieknope wrote:I thought Penn was one of the schools that doesn't give out waivers in response to solicitations? Columbia and NYU both said to wait for CRS, as did Penn. Anyone heard from those three+UChicago? I want to submit already, dammit.
EDIT: She said, five minutes before finding a hidden CRS waiver from Penn. Figuring I won't get Columbia because of my LSAT but come onnnn UChi/NYU.

Re: 2014-2015 Fee Waivers
Where exactly do you find the "hidden" waivers? When I go to each school's application, I am still seeing the fee amount listed, even at ones where I know I have waivers.
FWIW, I received a waiver email from Cornell this morning. Was hoping for Chicago, but I guess maybe I missed that boat if they went out Monday?
Edit: I ended up ITT because I, too, was wondering whether to wait on Columbia, NYU, Chicago, Penn, so I second the question of whether anyone has heard from Columbia and NYU, which appear to be the only remaining mysteries.
