So when should I expect fee waivers after the December LSAT? I just got a 172 and am ready to submit my apps, but I'm assuming (hoping) my 172 should earn me fee waivers at most schools I am applying to.

Since scores just came out, should I wait a couple days into the week for emails? Or should I just go ahead and start soliciting like crazy? Don't want to get my apps in too late.

I've been getting a few... make sure your LSAC information is set to "allow schools to see my information." At first, mine was not set to that (for whatever reason) and I wasn't getting any emails at all. I set it to allow, and within two days I had like 15 waivers.

I expect that a lot of admissions offices will be open on Monday though from the break.

This. Also, don't be afraid to email and ask for merit-based waivers. I have a similar score and received waivers everywhere I asked.

Anyone want to speculate on when the next batch of fee waivers will come out? Past years seem to say that it'll be this week or next, but I'm a bit nervous about the wait. I've received UVA, UCLA, Duke, Gtown, Mich, and WashU but I'm still looking to apply to Penn, Columbia, Cornell, UChi. I have the apps done and want to get them in, but the money is a big issue.

I retook the Dec LSAT and got a 170. Anybody think I'll get a few waiver to Gtown, Cornell, Vandy or any of the top 11-20ish? Or should I just send in apps asap?

definitely as least ask. Most places get back into their offices tomorrow, so they usually respond promptly. One day won't kill ya, but it might save you hundreds.

UT Austin and Vanderbilt just came by email today. Called Penn and Cornell and they said they'll have some more out in the next week or so.

Just got UT, Emory, and Northwestern through CRS too. Anyone know if Michigan grants solicited waivers? And is there a point to soliciting NYU and UChicago if my LSAT is between their median and 25th?

Yes Michigan does, and NYU and Chicago is worth a shot.

Received a 98% score in December. Tried to solicit fee waivers from Columbia/Chicago/NYU/Upenn and got shot down. International student. Should I wait to see if they will send an unsolicitated one..

All I got as an international student with a 99th percentile score was a Penn waiver through CRS, so I wouldn't count on much.

Dude I'd at least email them. EVery single one of my target schools, except one, replied literally the next day. That one day won't kill you, but if you can save 500 bucks its totally credited

Thanks! But I emailed already and got such replies from all of them: "we do not grant them following individual requests".

lol, on the same boat

Got Duke with PT this morning. I also checked and I have a hidden CRS waiver from Cornell, no formal notification yet.

I tried soliciting Chicago and NYU and got politely shot down as expected.

I got most of the fee waivers I needed with September cycle and my 168, but I didn't get Penn waiver or Duke PT. My score went up to 176 in December -- any chance I'll get an email the second time around? Is it kosher to solicit PT from Duke? I have a valid reason -- I'll be in NC at the end of the month and it would be nice to visit knowing my application status...

I successfully solicited the waiver & PT from Duke. After emailing the general address, I was forwarded to the Assistant Dean, who replied within a couple of days and was super nice about it!

I agree--I got mine from Duke by emailing.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
