Re: Latest employment data
also its interesting that BC increased its employment w/ a larger class size and BU's increase is exactly proportional to its decrease in class size.

You admit that you're a 0L, but then you claim that CCN should be changed to CCNP or CCP? What's your basis for this, besides a cursory glance at one year's worth of BL+FedClerk outcomes? You might think your comment is completely innocent, but spouting personal opinions with little basis and experience is potentially harmful to people on this forum seeking legitimate info and advice.wsag826 wrote:Side note, Cornell is doing fantastic. Seriously? Wtfareyousmoking? Besides the potential harm of misinformation, having to spend the time to read through your two long responses with such little value added to the conversation in itself was a dreadful experience.

Re: Latest employment data
You people are being argumentative for literally no reason. "It's a 0L, let's get em'". The guy probably is probably just unaware of the prestige NYU has in the legal community. Plus, going to Cornell with a good scholarship is probably better than going to NYU at sticker, which plenty of people do.ChoboPie wrote:But your comment wasn't "harmless, at best."wsag826 wrote:And finally, if you think this is a waste, please move forward. 0Ls use this website as a resource and community, and forums are places for observations and insight. Chill out, people.
Edit: I thought that wsag had claimed that Cornell should be in the top 6, my bad. Also, Penn is arguably on NYU's level, the excessive berating of that statement is puzzling.

I think Brut means well but his tone doesn't help persuade anyone. He appears to be a very bright dude too; hopefully his combativeness won't hinder his partnership prospects

What wsag originally said was pretty innocuous. These overreactions are nuts.

If Penn is on NYU's level, why isn't Cornell as well?Moneytrees wrote:I thought that wsag had claimed that Cornell should be in the top 6, my bad. Also, Penn is arguably on NYU's level, the excessive berating of that statement is puzzling.
For those interested in NYC big law, I think Penn and NYU give you roughly the same shot. But NYU offers some other things--notably PI and government opportunities--that Penn isn't particularly good at. For many people, those other things are a lot more appealing than NYC big law.
Look, I think the whole notion of sub-tiers is silly. I don't even think "T6" is a thing in real life. I'm not trying to defend NYU's place in an imaginary pecking order. But if you're faced with a decision between Penn and NYU at equal cost, and if you aren't set on big law, it probably makes more sense to choose NYU.

If it was earlier this week, that's extremely fucking shady...
...which would be weird considering that Texas is still boasting some solid numbers

if you factor in average debt load UT massacres GTown. (Not saying I'd strongly suggest UT to non Texans though, shouldn't compare side by side, etc...)Rigo wrote:UT nipping at Georgetown's heels. Next year may be the year.
