I got a 167 on July so I will definitely be cancelling/retaking. I did slightly better than I thought I had. I think I mentioned I was traveling the day before or two days before. It feels good to finally get my score back. I always have a tough time motivating myself to study during the waiting period but now I have exactly a month until September. I'm excited!

Hi OP,
I've been following this thread since the first day you posted and you have been so inspiring. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I didn't do as well as you in July but taking the digital for the first time with visual and hearing distractions really got me I think. I was PTing high 160s and low 170s and I ended up with a 159. I know, it's really bad but to be honest it was better than what I originally thought because I was so distracted and couldn't understand so much of the prompt itself.
I've used up all the preptests. Do you still have fresh ones left?
I don't know if re-doing them will be beneficial. How do you plan to study for the next month?

Goodness thanks for sticking along!!

I agree taking on the ipad was sort of strange even without the distractions. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this but scoring below like that is really not something to worry over too much, especially since we get our cancel. I actually don't have any fresh ones left. Since I was traveling so much before July and had a tough time motivating myself after taking, I've been taking only individual sections for a few months now. Even though I was redoing them, I actually found that I barely remembered them and that reviewing them is still helpful. Now that I have a month until September I will take maybe 3 full tests with some sections sprinkled in. I know LSAC has the 3 full ones offered online for free but I have already taken one. I will take the other 2 as full ones and will take another while probably just looking at a PDF on my computer screen. Leading up to the test I might redo those even as sections just to make sure I'm not rusty with the Ipad at all.

Please keep me updated on how everything goes!!

Figured I'd give an update to this dinosaur threat in case someone somehow finds it in the future and wonders what happened. I ended up having a pretty slow cycle. I got accepted to duke within 10 days of applying in October and then waitlisted by every other top 14 except for Georgetown (accepted w/ 60k). I was also offered 60k at duke but managed to negotiate up to 75K which I am pretty stoked about. Oh i also was rejected by Yale and stanford, huge shocker. I WAS waitlisted by HLS though and will definitely be riding out as late as possible to give my dream some closure. Thank you all for you help and support.

Those are all great options for paleontology. Congratulations on a great cycle and don’t stress yourself out too much. Dinosaurs are intimidating specimens, but they haven’t been around for hundreds of millions of years. People are more concerned with COVID-19 right now, but you may raise a valid point. If we have to worry about dinosaurs and COVID-19, and moreover, dinosaurs carrying COVID-19 the economy may go into tailspin.
