I got a little overconfident when my UVA call proved true. But really my desire to watch GULC crash and burn was the end of me, totally clouded my judgement.

Definitely impressive but they lowered their GPA floor this year so it isn't too surprising. They likely over enrolled and had a higher yield rate than expected. Also, most likely don't pay sticker at HLS but close to it I bet.

As for the late admission of numbers, I think someone from NYU left for HLS off the WL early this week so it isn't completely them just being assholes.

A GPA floor is the lowest GPA they will accept period, not necessarily en masse. The lowest non-URM GPA on LSN is the highest this year of the last three: 3.44 for c/o 2014, 3.40 for c/o 2015, and 3.53 for c/o 2016. These are outliers but still relevant for a discussion of floors as they are typically defined.

Yes, there is general trend of accepting relatively lower GPAs. It looks like HLS would rather preserve the LSAT than the GPA and if the current state of affairs persists sooner or later the GPA percentiles are going drop.

..indeed you speak in an absolute manner and in the same way, Yale's LSAT floor is a 159 or something but in any practical circumstances that is a useless way to look at the world/analyze a cycle. The floor was in any practical sense for mass applicants is/has been falling.
