C/O 2015 Medians and Class Sizes Forum

When do schools and/or the ABA publish this data officially? Is it generally some time in the next month or two that schools update their admissions pages with Class of '15 info?

We basically have to rely on schools to publish this information on their websites for the next few months. Otherwise we have to wait for the U.S. News magazine to release that info in April. LSAC ABA Guide didn't even release it until July.... so the complete data for the C/O 2014 was only available since last month.

With orientation approaching, I figured I would start a thread to keep track of the new medians/class sizes. This cycle has had a huge decline in applicants, and I'm sure that many people are interested in seeing the full effects of the decline.

Medians are occasionally announced during orientation; I would be grateful if TLSers who attended orientation at various schools provide us with medians. I will use orientation dates as placeholders until the median/class size data are released.

Any suggestions are always welcome. Please correct me if any of my information is incorrect.

according to the USC website their median is 3.73, you have the right LSAT score and the size of class.

"and 12 percent identified as lesbian, gay, or bisexual." maybe going a little too far with the whole diversity thing...

I couldn't find UCLA and Stanford or UC irvine.

I'm curios about Irvine, now that they aren't offering great scholarship deals. I think their stats will come down quite a bit.

Data is a mass noun for most uses. You can understand that you should say "datum" for yhe singular without always treating data as a plural noun.

I seem to remember reading that Cornell is not very splittler-friendly. They rejected me with >75th LSAT and gpa slightly below median / anecdote

Our info is going out in our monthly newsletter soon, but since I told all the 1Ls at Orientation and our new print materials arrived yesterday I figured I could post them now.

Texas Tech: 156 (+1), 3.48 (-0.01), 232 (-4, -1.69%)

Our 25th/75th's are 152/158 (no change) and 3.26/3.68 (+.01/+.02).

This is as of the first day of classes (Aug. 20th), and therein lies the caveat to every law school's numbers right now. Because of the new "certification" program LSAC is offering this year, the official statistics that will be used for the ABA Report, the LSAC Official Guide, and (presumably) USNWR rankings will be reported as of Oct. 5. In past years the entering class was reported based on who "matriculated", i.e. who was there the first day of class.

What this means is that when the official numbers actually come out (I've heard the ABA/LSAC are going to make a special effort to get at least some stats out sooner than the rest of the guide, but I can't confirm that) they will likely be at least a little different for every law school due to people withdrawing during the first semester. If a school happens to have made a median by only a few people, it's very possible the numbers that are recorded for posterity could be lower depending on who withdraws from the class (e.g. students above or below median).

If that raises more questions for people, I'd be happy to answer what I can.
