OP- Congrats. Now I honestly have no problem with nepotism, but your being from such a family means one of the things you should have learned growing up is humility. You are very fortunate to be in the position you are in, and you have to understand its a position not shared by the majority of people anywhere. In this light, people are naturally not going to want to hear how you got advantages that most people will never have. While the saying doesn't exactly fit this situation, it's more about what you have in the bank, not the driveway. You do not need to be flashy and go to great lengths (i.e. a post on a website) to alert people of your own good fortune. All it does is make you look petty. Truly wealthy people, from wealthy families, tend to avoid such practices. Again, Congrats, but keep it to yourself.

Why not? I don't think its very odd to come into contact with very wealthy people, even if you are not necessarily one of them? Maybe it isn't completely normal, but far from impossible. This thread really took off.
