Hastings Anyone?
So today's supposed to be the big day... I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread or news from anybody getting in early admissions, and in years past they contacted people the night before... has anybody heard yet?

So I called admissions and they said within the next couple of hours, definitely before 5 (Pacific Time), so be looking for them soon, good luck everyone!

Ok, ajelacich...thank you SO MUCH for that info. I am an ED'er for Hastings this year and I was guessing that they might be a bit later this year due to a possible increase in apps...but I was beginning to lose hope that they'd e-mail today. Now I'm pumped!! I hope the person you spoke with is right about the pre-5pm part = )

For Hastings I think it is...the Early Commitment is binding according to the application:jks289 wrote:Is early commitment the same as early decision? Just curious....
"Do you have an Early Decision program?
Yes. UC Hastings does provide an Early Commitment Option to applicants for whom Hastings is their first choice. To be eligible for Early Commitment you must have taken the LSAT on or before the October test administration and submitted your application by November 15; your application must be complete by December 1. This is a binding admissions process: if you are accepted by December 15, you will have until January 15 to make your admission deposit; doing so requires you to withdraw applications from all other law schools. If you do not receive an early offer, your file will be considered with all other applications. "
