Word limit of PS

Hi, guys. I would like to know how many words of PS do you think is appropriate? For example, Columbia Law School instruction says that it should be approximately 2 pages. Well I'm a bit confused by the word ''approximately'', I wrote 860 words, Times New Roman, 12, seven paragraphs, double space,and it was about two and a half pages. Is that OK for CLS's request? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Thats probably fine if they dont give you exact requirements.
