Why X Essays

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Dec 15, 2015 1:10 pm

I'm a little unsure of the structure / tone for Why X essays. Do they require an introduction / conclusion of some sort, or should you essentially list and discuss your reason(s) for applying to X school? Should you adopt a more formal tone or should you be slightly more relaxed? (Or is tone dependent on your reason(s) for applying... e.g. specific clinics vs. proximity to family / significant other?)

Also, is it appropriate to include ranking and employment numbers among your reasons?

Thanks in advance!

This should help you get started: http://www.top-law-schools.com/writing- ... endum.html

Try using the search function if you feel that isn't enough information or that it doesn't really address what you are looking for. This topic has been discussed tons of times so there are definitely threads (other than the one I listed) that discuss it.
