Re: Personal Statement (Final Draft hopefully)
This is very reminiscent of the first one listed on this page: http://www.law.uchicago.edu/alumni/maga ... irownwords
I almost immediately noticed the similarity, and then confirmed it on that one liner about discovering passion.
Edit: even skimming the rest of your statement, it's like exactly the same set-up....

Wow, good catch. Blatant plagiarism.Keilz wrote:This is very reminiscent of the first one listed on this page: http://www.law.uchicago.edu/alumni/maga ... irownwords

Wow! This wasn't even a good attempt at plagiarism!
If you copy the first statement you come to after googling 'law school personal statement,' then maybe you should reconsider a few things... especially law school because that's just lazy plagiarizing and research.

If I were OP I would trash the essay and delete my profile... When I read the essay I also immediately thought I had read something just like it before. Possible plagiarism is definitely not something you want to be attached to.

Ack. OP sent this to me and I didn't notice. I was surprised by the huge difference in quality between first and second drafts... My favorite line was the one about having discovered passion. Definitely plagiarism, definitely not okay for a law school application.Mrs Featherbottom wrote:Wow, good catch.
