So I am kind of stuck on my personal statement. I have talked to my family and they keep insisting that I use A LOT of my personal background information which is making it very difficult to connect. I feel like my PS is not addressing the prompt overtly and that it is not extremely compelling.
I was wondering if someone can PM me and take a look at my PS so far and provide feedback... anything will do! I just need a sense of inspiration and maybe some fresh eyes to show me what I am missing. I am also willing to look at yours if you'd like... For some reason it is easier for me to help others than myself

Hello! Actually I had same problem with mine personal statement. When I write my personal statement I usually do not know what to include on it. So I asked help and got it in special service. Good luck with your PA!

I think this is a common problem, and usually it's because the most common advice you're getting is roughly "tell your life story in the PS." That's generally not the best advice, because it leads to an unfocused PS.
