Kidnapping of a family member- worthy of addendum?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Oct 24, 2015 8:45 pm

My GPA is a 3.2 but my lowest year was a 3.0 that year i had a 2.9 in my second semester because largely because my grandfather was kidnapped in my home country. My mom and uncles ended up paying a ransom but the whole ordeal affected my school, had to travel back and forth to be with my mom, had to work more because my mom couldnt support as much after paying. Im wondering if i should write an addendum since my bad semester gpa is only about .2 to .4 different than my gpa in other semesters.

Why not just put that story in your personal statement?
