Mountain Climbing Metaphor Overplayed?

Post by ggnobbq » Tue Oct 20, 2015 7:11 pm

I was thinking of a PS topic and thought of using mountain climbing (i've done a few 14k footers in the past year or so) to relate to some of the things I've had to overcome (low socio-economic background, sitting out multiple cycles to attend one of my targeted schools, multiple lsat takes, etc). Is this topic too cliche to use or would it be fine if executed properly?

It's kinda cheesy but i dont think enough people have done extensive mountain climbing, let alone on actualy 14k MOUNTAINS, for this to be cliche. This is already way more unique than I imagine most are.

Chuck it in the resume under activities/personal section. I mentioned completing a half marathon in the resume. Shows some versatility
