During my junior year in high school, either in 2010 or 2011, I received a traffic citation for running a red light. I paid the fine, and my record was expunged.

You may want to consider investing in the services of an admissions consultant and possibly those of a character and fitness attorney. typically c&f issues where you endangered the lives of innocent people through negligence are especially frowned upon.

The traffic citation isn't alarming, but your inability to identify even the year of the incident is. Was this during a period of heavy drug use?

Quick question about this type of addendum.
My First year of college I was playing in an intramural soccer game and a fight broke out. I had stolen the ball and kicked it up field (legal move) but was thrown to the ground by the other player. Long story short, my name was a part of the ordeal. I gladly helped and worked with the intramural department after and was not found at fault but was suspended for the semester for sports. In no way was it tied to the school itself but I am sure I am filed away as part of a fight somewhere. Should I write an addendum for this?

Look up the date of the ticket in the County Clerk of Court where you got it. While you're at it record the date of the disposition and might as well write down the case number too.

When I wrote my criminal history addendum I would record my tickets like so...

Offense: Speeding
Offense date: xx/xx/xxxx
Disposition: Guilty on xx/xx/xxxx
Location: __________ Parish, Louisiana

I had my share of tickets to record also, but atleast I was thorough on all the relevant dates etc. It helped that I do background investigations for a living, so I knew where to look for all this.

Gotcha, I just did that earlier today! For some reason I thought if it was expunged that I wouldn't be able to access the information.
