Dorm Write-up Addendum

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Oct 20, 2015 2:46 am

On October 28, 2012, as a freshman at the University of XXXX, I received a write-up for entering my residence hall through exterior doors and disruptive behavior. My roommate and I entered our residence hall building through exterior doors after the curfew and, when discovered by a Residence Assistant, attempted to evade disciplinary action by continuing to our room without providing our names or information. I was and am deeply regretful of my behavior, and I opted to write a letter of apology to the Residence Assistant involved as my sanction. I learned from this lapse in judgement, and I was not involved in any further incidents for the remainder of my time in the residence hall, nor have I been since.

Maybe its just me, but I don't really understand what you did. What exactly are "exterior doors" and why can't you enter through them? Its also a bit long.

What kind of university has curfew on its dorms. Is that a thing?

"and we ran away like two giggling school girls." I wish I could have seen that, it sounds hilarious. In all seriousness, sounds like something kids would do. I don't think the admissions office would think much of it, but you can always give them a call and ask.

PS: Why did you guys think that hiding in your room would be the best course of action to remain incognito?

This addendum is fine. Don't even bother to call the admissions office, they will just give you a standard answer to disclose everything and you will just have to submit this, anyways.

You'll be all right with this addendum. Admissions won't care.

This RA sounds like a dick.

Haha thanks guys! After like 11 pm, we had to enter our dorm through main doors instead of the "exterior doors," which was just the back entrance. We went through the back entrance because I didn't have my student ID on me, which they required after 11 pm. I think we thought if we got up to our room before the RA could catch us she wouldn't know how to write us up because she didn't know our names/who we were. It's pretty embarrassing having to explain all of this now! Haha.
