Consulting firms

Has anyone used a consulting firm to edit their PS? If so, were you satisfied with the service? Did you purchase the entire admissions package, just essay editing, or hourly? How much did it cost?

I haven't used such a service, but my understanding is that your PS is unlikely to compensate for sub par numbers, so I'd skip it. Why should they make money off of you?
