Should you write about each school individually? Forum

I've always seen it as "sucking up" to them and might be seen as a negative, but I really am not sure.

If no, why not?

If yes, how much is too much/little?

No. That's what the Why X essay is for.

I tailored my PS to each school and it's been working out well for me. I mentioned something specific about each school and how it fit into my goals.

Question for those who have written or plan to write "Why X" essays: where do you do your research for each school? Wikipedia? Official school page? Other sources?

Don't use Wiki. I used official school pages, looking specifically at
- clinical offerings
- articles in the school's LR or secondary journals
- student orgs
- course offerings
- any special programs

just be sure to replace "LAW SCHOOL NAME" with the correct name of the school in your PS and spend the rest of your time prepping for the LSAT
