Are minor changes in PS worth sending school a new one?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jan 14, 2015 11:37 pm

This is a probably stupid question...

If I change a couple words or divide 1 big paragraph into 2, should I send them the new personal statement?

I've already sent a couple of schools a PS but as I was getting ready to send another school my application, I made a couple minor changes like the ones above because it flowed better and sounded more professional.

Are changes like that worth emailing the school? Or is something like the paragraph issue so insignificant, the Ad Comm will not care?

I'm probably nitpicking but I just don't know if my application could be affected by something so minor.

Honestly this will only hurt you. Do not send another PS after you have already submitted an application. It will make you look like you were unprepared.

I'm sure the original will be just fine. I made adjustments during my application process as well. I sent out 14 applications and 14 different versions of my PS.

Good luck with you apps!
