Background: This addendum is meant to be read in conjunction with a PS about being an at risk kid who got it together...eventually.
Conducting research about the academic outcomes of people from my background has given me much to think about regarding the poor start to my own academic career, but it would be disingenuous to make excuses. The only factor that changed was me.
Immaturity led to a poor performance, but I am hopeful that being able to maintain above a 3.9 for the last 70 semester units while working a full-time job and taking a full-time course load provides a large enough sample size to prove my turnaround is no flash in the pan.

Not worth it. Don't make excuses. Own your numbers, move on

I don't think this is addendum worthy. We were all idiots our 1st semester.

In stead of 1st semester, try first 100 semester units.ilikebaseball wrote:I don't think this is addendum worthy. We were all idiots our 1st semester.
I'm all about owning my numbers, but I figured, with a 2.7 and a night and day grade trend, I couldn't NOT say something. I guess if it is coming off as making excuses, it's doing more harm than good.

Re: GPA Addendum
Your transcripts tell this story, you don't need to explain. Your GPA sucks, and focusing extra material on it will only hurt you.PrizeFighter wrote:In stead of 1st semester, try first 100 semester units.ilikebaseball wrote:I don't think this is addendum worthy. We were all idiots our 1st semester.
